We invite you to check out our latest publication  Unraveling psilocybin’s therapeutic potential: behavioral and neuroplasticity insights in Wistar-Kyoto and Wistar male rat models of treatment-resistant depression | Psychopharmacology (springer.com) , where we delve into the potential of psilocybin in treating treatment-resistant depression (TRD) using animal models. Our research explores the reactions of two rat strains, Wistar (WIS) and Wistar-Kyoto (WKY), uncovering how PSI could significantly enhance TRD therapy. Our study found significant behavioral and brain changes specific to each rat strain after psilocybin treatment. Notably, we observed long-term brain function improvements in WKY rats. These findings highlight psilocybin's potential to create lasting changes in brain plasticity, suggesting its important role in effective, long-term depression treatment. This exciting research was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Drug Chemistry and the Department of Ne
