Nowy Projekt NCN

Pracownia Farmakologii Biochemicznej skupia swoje badania nad molekularnymi i biochemicznymi aspektami działania leków psychotropowych. Zaawansowane metody badawcze są istotnym elementem badania potencjału terapeutycznego nowych związków. W ramach Konsorcjum z Liderem grantu - Wydziałem Farmaceutycznym UJ (dr hab. Krzysztof Kamiński), Instytutem Medycyny Wsi im. Witolda Chodźki oraz Uniwersytetem Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej w Lublinie, zespół pod kierunkiem dr hab. Agaty Faron-Góreckiej będzie realizował projekt badawczy NCN OPUS 23 „Nowe pozytywne allosteryczne modulatory transportera EAAT2 dla glutaminianu jako kandydaci do terapii chorób neurologicznych i psychiatrycznych”. W ramach projektu zostanie zbadany wpływ nowych związków na aktywność transporterów EAAT1-3 dla glutaminianu.

Agata Faron-Górecka, prof. Gustavo Turecki, prof. Marta Dziedzicka-Wasylewska    serving as chairpersons of Session1: Blood-brain barrier dysfunction in CNS disoders , during which a lecture was given by Prof. Marta Dziedzicka-Wasylewska (IF PAN), dr hab. Agnieszka Chocyk (IF PAN), and dr hab. Barbara Błasiak (IFJ). we presented three posters during the poster session: Dr Joanna Solich, Dr Magdalena Kolasa, and Ms. Agata Korlatowicz.                                          On the organizational side, dr hab. Agata Faron-Górecka and dr Joanna Solich were responsible for abstracts and the folder.  It was a very impressive and enlightening experience!

XXI International Congress of the Polish Pharmacological Society

Dr. Joanna Solich represented our Laboratory at the International Congress of the Polish Pharmacological Society, which took place in Katowice on September 28-30, 2023 ( XXI International Congress of the Polish Pharmacological Society (zjazd-ptf.katowice.pl) ).  She delivered a great lecture on the role of the blood-brain barrier in stress. Congratulations!
